These terms cover your use of SatinSmith (satinsmith.com), operated by FormulaIT LLC, Wyoming, USA ("we", "us"). By creating an account or buying a plan or pack you agree to them.
What we provide
SatinSmith turns artwork, lettering and AI-generated designs into machine embroidery files (DST, PES, JEF, EXP, VP3, XXX, U01 and PEC) and shows you a stitch-out preview before you download. Everything is delivered online: unlocked designs can be downloaded straight away from your library. Nothing is shipped.
Your account
You need an account to create and download designs. Keep your sign-in details safe and tell us at support@satinsmith.com if you think someone else has used your account. You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian agree to these terms for you.
Your artwork
You keep all rights to the artwork, lettering and descriptions you provide. Only upload or describe artwork you own or have permission to use. That includes any logos, trademarks, team crests, characters or brand names it contains. Don't use SatinSmith to make counterfeit or unlicensed branded goods.
We store your uploads and generated files only to provide the service to you, and we don't use them to train AI models.
Acceptable use
Don't upload or create anything illegal, anything that infringes someone else's rights, or anything hateful, harassing or sexually explicit. Don't try to get around usage limits, resell access to the service, or use it in a way that harms it for others. We may remove content that breaks these rules and suspend or close the accounts involved.
Files you create
Machine files you download are yours to use for stitching, including on items you sell, as long as you have the rights to the artwork. Reselling or giving away the machine files themselves, for example in a design shop or library, is allowed only on the Shop plan, and only for artwork you have the rights to.
Prices, plans and payment
- Currency and payment. Prices are in US dollars (USD) and are shown on the pricing page and at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. Your bank may add its own fees for paying in USD.
- Free downloads. Every account gets 3 free downloads each calendar month. They reset on the 1st and don't carry over. The free plan needs no card and never turns into a paid plan.
- Plans renew automatically. A plan is charged when you subscribe and then automatically at the start of each new month or year, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. Plan downloads are added at the start of each billing period and roll over while your subscription is active. If you cancel, they stay on your account and become usable again if you resubscribe.
- Cancelling. Cancel any time from Billing in your account ("Change plan, card or cancel"), or by emailing support@satinsmith.com. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Price changes. We'll email you at least 30 days before a price change applies to your plan, and you can cancel before it does.
- Download packs. A 10-download pack is a one-time payment, not a subscription. Its downloads don't expire.
- Promotion codes. Any conditions are shown with the code. Codes have no cash value and can't be combined unless we say so.
- Downloads have no cash value and can't be transferred. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
Fair use
Stitch previews have a generous daily limit, and AI cleanups and AI designs have monthly limits, shown in the app. Automated or bulk use that harms the service for others isn't allowed.
Copyright and trademark complaints
If you believe a design made with SatinSmith infringes your copyright or trademark, email support@satinsmith.com with the subject "Copyright notice" and include: your name and contact details; the work or mark you own; where the infringing design or file is, or enough detail for us to find it; a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them. We remove infringing material promptly and close the accounts of repeat infringers.
Where the service is available
You may not use SatinSmith if you are located in a country under comprehensive US sanctions or are on a US government restricted-party list, or to provide files to anyone who is.
No guarantee of results
Embroidery depends on your machine, thread, needle, stabilizer, fabric and hooping. We work hard to produce files that sew well and show you checks before you download, but we can't guarantee every file will sew perfectly on every setup. Always test-sew before production runs. The service is provided "as is", and to the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
Ending your account
You can delete any design at any time. To close your account, cancel any plan and email support@satinsmith.com from the address on your account; we delete your account and designs within 30 days, apart from billing records we must keep by law. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or are used for fraud, including disputing legitimate charges.
Changes
We'll email you before material changes to these terms take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
